Quick and easy no bake protein bites!

With 2017 being a week away, a lot of us are trying to better ourselves by hitting the gym or eating better! The problem with that is no one has any time to stay on top of their fitness or food plan. So to help ease you into your “new year, new you” plan, here is an easy to do recipe for protein bites! Quick snack in just 10 min sounds like a good idea to get my new year plans going!

Ingredients
  1. 1 cup (dry) oatmeal
  2. 2/3 cup toasted coconut flakes
  3. 1/2 cup peanut butter
  4. 1/2 cup ground flax seed
  5. 1/2 cup chocolate chips (dark)
  6. 1/3 cup honey
  7. 1 tbs chia seeds
  8. 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
  1. Stir all ingredients together in a medium bowl until thoroughly mixed. Cover and let chill in the refrigerator for an hour.
  2. Once chilled, roll into balls or whatever size you would like. (1" in diameter.) Store in and airtight container and keep refrigerated for up to one week.
  3. Makes about 20-25 balls.

 There are many ways to make these protein bites so feel free to make this recipe your own! Throw anything in! You could even make them healthier or nut free depending on allergies! They are great for kids too! Just pop a couple in their lunch bag or yours for mid day snack. Easy and quick is the way to go for all busy women and men out there! Also they are inexpensive to make and can find these ingredients in really anyone’s cabinets! Hopefully this will help achieve some of your goals with the coming new year!
